Conditions summer 2008

Rates

Rates are in Swiss francs, per room, per night. They include half-board, unlimited access to our new, 2000 sq.m. Kronenhof Spa, our fitness centre, shuttle service to and from Pontresina railway station, service charge, resort tax and value-added tax. Prices subject to change. Rates in euro serve as a guide only (1 euro = CHF 1.60). The actual rate is calculated on the day of invoicing at the official exchange rate.

Family accommodation

Choose from a range of double rooms. Parent room rates are listed under “Summer prices”. For children up to and including 14 years of age there is a 50-percent reduction on the base room rate (does not apply to half-board).

Extended stays

If you stay from seven to nine days you are eligible for a five-percent discount. For stays of ten days or more the discount is ten percent on the base rate. These discounts do not apply to half-board, additional beds of package deal.

The Gourmet Carousel of Pontresina hotels (29 June – 25 September 2008) gives you an opportunity to sample the culinary delights of participating hotels (half-board package).

Should you not dine at our establishment, to qualify for a half-board credit please notify reception the day before and we will credit your account. Please note: except for our culinary package, we cannot give credit on half-board arrangements.

Children are most welcome

Our childminder at the Krönchen Club hotel kindergarten looks after our guests aged three or older with fun and games.

Package Deals

Early reservations on our Early Booking Offers qualify for an upgrade – if available – to a higher room category.
We hold a certain number of rooms for our package deals but it is possible that no more rooms are available for the package of your choice.
We cannot assume liability for services provided by third parties.
To ensure that spa treatments in your package are available, we ask that you book them at the time you book your package deal. Should you have any further wishes, please let us know.
We are unable to refund the cost of unused services included in the package.
Treatments included in the package are not interchangeable.
Guests may cancel of change appointments for treatments at on day’s notice.

Reservation guarantee

We can only guarantee reservations upon payment of a deposit or release of credit card information. Once a booking is confirmed we may request a deposit of up to half the estimated total cost.

Cancellation terms:

Rooms may be cancelled without charge eleven or more days prior to arrival.
In case of cancellations made six to ten days before arrival we charge half of the total price of a stay, but for no more than five days. The charge for cancelled package deals is half of the confirmed total price.
Cancellations received up to five days before arrival are considered as no shows and subject to a charge equal to the total for the number of days of the booking (100 percent of the room rate/half-board/package). In case of package deal cancellations we charge the full, confirmed price.
Double or single occupancy specifications may not be modified in the five days prior to arrival. If double rooms booked for two are occupied by one person only, they are subject to the double occupancy rate.
We treat early departure and/or late arrivals as no-shows unless we receive the reservation modification in writing no later than five days prior to arrival.
Please make cancellations and/or reservation changes in writing.

Ask us for information of Swiss insurer Mobiliar’s Mobi Tour cancellation insurance. Please obtain such coverage before confirming your reservation.

Cancellations received up to fourteen days before arrival are considered as no shows and subject to a charge equal to the total for the number of days of the booking (100 percent of the room rate including half-board and New Year’s Eve surcharge). In case of package deal cancellations we charge the full, confirmed price.
Double or single occupancy specifications may not be modified in the fourteen days prior to arrival. If double rooms booked for two are occupied by one person only, they are subject to the double occupancy rate.
We treat early departure and/or late arrivals as no-shows unless we receive the reservation modification in writing no later than fourteen days prior to arrival.
