The ice will be specially prepared for the tournament. The playing fields are 20 x 40 m in size and small "barriers" made of snow (approx. 20 - 40 cm high) serve as boundaries. The goals are the same width as official ice hockey goals, but they are only about 20 cm high.

Also in terms of equipment, not everything is the same as in a classic hockey tournament: it is only played with skates, gloves and stick. Shin and elbow pads are allowed, a helmet is recommended. No other equipment is desired.
